Προφεστιβαλική εκδήλωση ενίσχυσης του φεστιβαλ των Κοινων στο ΕΜΠΡΟΣ 14/2

Επειδή πιστεύουμε πως ο έρωτας είναι αυτό που μοιραζόμαστε έξω από τον επίπλαστο κόσμο της κατανάλωσης, την ημέρα του Αγίου Βαλεντίνου, ημέρα της εμπορευματοποίησης του έρωτα, σας καλούμε σε ένα ξέφρενο και ρομαντικό πάρτυ με dj set και τίτλο “Love: A Timeless Common” στο Ελεύθερο Αυτοδιαχειριζόμενο Θέατρο ΕΜΠΡΟΣ (Ρήγα Παλαμήδου 2, Ψυρρή). Θα προηγηθεί στις 20:00 η πρώτη δημόσια προβολή του ντοκυμαντέρ “Η Γνώση ως Κοινό Αγαθό – Κοινότητες Παραγωγής και Διαμοιρασμού στην Ελλάδα” (  http://common-knowledge.eu/ ) και θα ακολουθήσει συζήτηση με μέλη των ομάδων.

Οργανώνουμε αυτό το πάρτυ ως προφεστιβαλική εκδήλωση ενίσχυσης του 3ου Φεστιβάλ των Κοινών, που θα πραγματοποιηθεί από τις 15 έως τις 17 Μαίου 2015 στην Αθήνα (κτίριο Συλλόγου Ελλήνων Αρχαιολόγων, Ερμού 134) με συμμετοχές πολλών ομάδων και ομιλητών από την Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό. Το Φεστιβάλ των Κοινών (CommonsFest) ξεκίνησε σαν πρωτοβουλία από το Ηράκλειο της Κρήτης και έχει ήδη στο ενεργητικό του δύο επιτυχημένες διοργανώσεις που προσέλκυσαν το ενδιαφέρον της διεθνούς κοινότητας των Κοινών. Στο 3ο Φεστιβάλ των Κοινών θα παρουσιαστούν οι πρακτικές, οι εμπειρίες και τα τεχνήματα κοινοτήτων και θα συζητηθεί η επέκταση των Κοινών σαν ένα βιώσιμο υπόδειγμα κάλυψης των ανθρώπινων αναγκών. Θα ανιχνευθούν οι συνέργειες και θα επιδιωχθεί η ενίσχυση της δικτύωσης της κοινής παραγωγής ανάμεσα στις κοινότητες, τα κοινωνικά κινήματα και τους αναδυόμενους φορείς της κοινωνικής οικονομίας στην κατεύθυνση ενδυνάμωσης των Κοινών. Αν είστε κάποια συλλογικότητα, που δημιουργεί μέσω της συνεργασίας, του μοιράσματος και της αλληλεγγύης, μπορείτε να δηλώσετε συμμετοχή στο Φεστιβάλ αλλά και να βοηθήσετε ενεργά στη διοργάνωσή του

This review essay involves a critical presentation and reflection of the volume edited by Anna Agathangelou and Nerzat Soguk entitled Arab Revolutions and World Transformations (London: Routledge, 2013). This volume contributes to the enrichment of the problematic regarding the Arab uprisings and opens up a discussion on three basic issues: firstly, revolution within the framework of postcolonial critique; secondly, the encounters between the local and the global; and lastly on the impact of social poetics and aesthetics of people as agents, beyond dominant orientalised discourses and representations of otherness. Under the lens of political anthropology and philosophy, this review essay introduces to these critical approaches an additional focus, that of the concept of “dignity”. Its ethical dimension should remind us of the importance of affect on the building of the universally posed political questions concerning democracy, revolution, social movements, citizenship and civic virtue.

Dear Mihali and Fotini,

Thank you so much for sending along! It is really wonderful and also
pushes our thinking much further especially with your bringing in the
question of affect. I think that we need to be following suit of your
contribution. I found also your discussion on cosmopolitics quite
productive and useful in thinking through what kind of cosmpolitics
obtains with revolutionary embodiments and poetics.
