The Nomad team is happy to announce the release of Nomad v1.11.1!

The release includes a number of improvements, bug fixes and some security patches. Some highlights of the v1.11.1 release are listed below.

For security, we have updated our Go version although Nomad has not been impacted by any CVEs in particular.

Nomad 1.11.1 contains a breaking change to the docker driver:

  • Removes the deprecated email auth configuration parameter

Improvements

  • Allow identity configuration for sidecar_task blocks

  • Add configuration parameters to modify QEMU emulator binary and machine types

  • Add NOMAD_JOB_ID and NOMAD_NAMESPACE variables to the Secrets plugin

  • Add support for parsing and handling of arrays in OIDC claims

Bug fixes

  • Make /agent and /recommendations HTTP API endpoints aware of workload-identity to resolve issue with resolving JWTs

  • Include additional necessary permissions in nomad-autoscaler’s coarse grained “scale” policy.

  • Fix a Windows compatibility issue in dynamic host volumes logic

  • Add support for RFC9207, requiring an issuer param in authorization response if the provider requires it

  • Fix a bug where a large backlog of unblocking evals could cause backpressure on Raft writes

Please refer to the changelog for the complete list of improvements and bug fixes. We are also releasing backports of bug fixes to Nomad Enterprise v1.10.7 and v1.8.19.

Please read the upgrade guide for notes around upgrading and remember that downgrading is not supported. Please do not hesitate to file an issue on GitHub if you encounter any issues.

Thanks,

The Nomad Team
