Dear NOLTA ML colleagues,
give my apologies if you receive duplicates.

I am Hideyuki Kato from Oita University, a guest secretary of the special section "Recent Progress in Nonlinear Theory and Its Applications Nonlinear Theory and Its Applications (NOLTA), IEICE" on NOLTA 2025. The submission deadline of this special section is extended to January 17. We would appreciate and look forward to your submissions.

Special Section on Recent Progress in Nonlinear Theory and Its Applications
Nonlinear Theory and Its Applications (NOLTA), IEICE

The open-access journal “Nonlinear Theory and Its Applications (NOLTA), IEICE” (indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals, https://doaj.org/toc/2185-4106) with a Journal Impact Factor of 0.6 (provided by Clarivate in June 2025) welcomes you to submit papers for the Special Section on Recent Progress in Nonlinear Theory and Its Applications, which will be included in the issue published in July, 2026. The special section invites papers particularly from, but not restricted to, researchers who presented their original works in the 2025 International Symposium on Nonlinear Theory and Its Applications (NOLTA 2025, Okinawa, Japan, October 27–31, 2025; https://nolta2025.org/). The major part of this Special Section will address recent progress in the field of nonlinear theory and its applications. Topics include but are not limited to:
  • Nonlinear Phenomena
    - Chaos and Bifurcation
    - Oscillation and Synchronization
    - Chemical Reaction
  • Computational Intelligence
    - Neural Networks
    - Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence
    - Evolutionary Computation
    - Fuzzy Systems
  • Engineering Applications
    - Nonlinear Circuits and Systems
    - Control Systems - Communication Networks and Systems
    - Signal Processing
    - Applied Mathematics
  • Complex Networks/Systems
    - Large Scale Networks
    - Social Dynamics
    - Neuro Dynamics
    - Mathematical Economics
The papers will be handled by the editorial committee of the Special Section and peer-reviewed under the same editorial policy as regular papers in NOLTA, IEICE. The deadline for the paper submission is January 17, 2026. Eligible authors are requested to carefully follow the submission process:

  1. Check the latest information of the call for papers at https://www.ieice.org/eng_r/information/schedule/journals.php?type=05
  2. Prepare the manuscript according to the guidelines described on the web page: https://www.ieice.org/nolta/journal/author.html . The LaTeX style file and template file may be downloaded from the web page. Papers do not usually exceed 30 pages of an A4sized PDF file.
  3. Submit the manuscript and agree to the "Copyright Transfer, and Article Processing Charge Agreement, and Notices from the IEICE and Privacy Policy" using the IEICE paper submission system at: https://review.ieice.org/regist/regist_baseinfo_e.aspx. Authors should choose “[Special-NL] Recent Progress in Nonlinear Theory and Its Applications” as a “Journal/Section”. Do not choose “[Regular-EN]”.
