On Thursday, April 22nd, the Thelonious Monk Jazz Ensemble will
perform at the Piazza d'Italia, 300 Poydras Street. The show is open
to the public and will begin at 6pm.
The Loews hotel is the sponsor of the event, which will feature dining
by Cafe Adelaide and a cash bar.
The ensemble features the Class of 2011 from the Thelonious Monk
Institute of Jazz Performance at Loyola University, a two-year,
tuition-free program under the directorship of trumpeter and composer
Terence Blanchard.
