This weekend a pretty good sized group of NOLA Jitterbugs are making
the trek to Austin for the third annual Lone Star Championships,
January 15-17. Amy and I are looking forward to our third year of
judging dance contests and lots of social dancing with our Texas

If you're still in town, you might want to hit up the Allways Lounge
(2240 St Claude) on Friday January 15th. There will be belly dancing
performances and live danceable music starting at 11PM! $5 Cover.

The WW2 Museum is heating up this January with the addition of
Swingin’ Wednesdays! On Wednesdays, instructors will provide free
swing dance lessons that will have you on the floor in no time. Amy
and I will be teaching on Wednesday January 20th. (http://
