Friends,

Thanks to everyone who came to support The New Orleans Swing Dance
Festival & The Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown on June 5th! It was a very
special night. We managed to raise enough to pay for two months
advertisement in Offbeat magazine! Go grab the June issue to find the
latest ad.

Also, July will be the final series of lessons at the Maison; series
will resume in October. Thanks to everyone who made the classes so fun
and positive. The amount of growth we saw from November to July was
truly amazing.

Thank you.

AFTER THE CATCH RETURNS TO DISCOVERY CHANNEL JUNE 15 FOR EMOTIONAL
ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSIONS AND NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN FOOTAGE WITH THE STARS OF
DEADLIEST CATCH

-- Set in New Orleans, Local Fisherman Discuss the Current Oil Crisis
and the Late Captain Phil Harris Is Remembered --

AFTER THE CATCH features live, local music and NOLA Jitterbugs on
every episode! The Director approached Katherine Griffin after the
lesson one Wednesday at the Spotted Cat Music Club about having
dancers in the show. She forwarded his email to me. (Thanks, Kathy!)

The crew was very friendly and appreciated the dancing. One of the
ship captains even pushed Joseph out of the way in order to dance with
Amanda and, as I understand it, was doing rather well before he
slipped and nearly pulled Amanda on top of him.

IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER:
1. Amy Johnson and Peter Loggins performed with Kermit Ruffins (jazz).
2. Laura Manning and Chance Bushman performed with Washboard Chaz
(blues).
3. Laura Manning and Carl Nelson performed with Luke Winslow King
(bluesy jazz).
4. Amanda Thorns and Joseph Barlev performed with Amanda Shaw (cajun).
5. Giselle Anguizola and Chance Bushman performed with Johnny Sketch
and The Dirty Notes (funk).

Look for us on tv soon.
