I just stumbled over this again, thought I'd bring it up and suggest a technical solution.

1. Forget the Nokogiri.org domain, get lazy, and type nokogiri into the browser location bar.
2. Get directed to www.nokogiri.com, which is a GoDaddy squat page. Remember .org
3. Change .com to .org, get Heroku: No such application at this address. Try it twice because I'm sure it's right.
4. Go to GitHub, search for Nokogiri, click on the link to nokogiri.org (no Ws were harmed in the making of this URL), everything works fine.

So for 3 above, could you put up a teeny Rack application that does nothing except make a 301 redirect to the "bare" domain?

As for 2, I don't know what it would take to get the squatter out of .com, but I would donate to the cause if it comes to money.
