TheXY Series of the Pokmon Trading Card Game began on October 12, 2013 in tandem with the launch of the Generation VI core titles Pokmon X and Y. An array of promotional boxes, play accessories, and other merchandise was made available to players and collectors alike. Below is a chronological list of TCG-related merchandise released during the Series.

Among the first products of the XY Series were the Collector's Pin Three Pack Blisters, which comprised three different clamshell blister packs focusing on the Kalos region first partner Pokmon Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie. Released October 12, 2013, each blister was packaged with a commemorative collector's pin featuring one of the first partner Pokmon, as well as one booster pack from each of the three Team Plasma-centric Black & White Series expansions: Plasma Storm, Plasma Freeze, and Plasma Blast.

The Sylveon Collection was released on November 15, 2013 and featured the Pokmon Trading Card Game debut of the Intertwining Pokmon Sylveon. Each collection included a brand new Sylveon promotional card, a Sylveon figure, a single basic Fairy Energy, four Black & White Series booster packs, as well as alternate-art promotional cards depicting Eevee and each of the seven Eeveelutions available at the time. The eight reprints originated from a Japanese Collection File released as part of the Pokmon Center Eevee Collection campaign in November 2012; Eevee is a reprint from Plasma Freeze, while the Eeveelutions are reprints from Dark Explorers.

Available from December 2013 were the Kalos Starter Collections, which were another option to obtain cards from the Kalos Starter Set. Each collection was packaged with all the cards and accessories from one of the standard Kalos Starter Set Decks, a matching collector's pin initially released in the Collector's Pin Three Pack Blisters, plus two Black & White Series booster packs.

A range of accessories manufactured by Ultra Pro was released shortly after the XY Series began, which collectively focused on the three first partner Pokmon of the Kalos region: Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie, as well as the Kalos Legendary Pokmon Xerneas and Yveltal. Each product features key artwork as illustrated by Ken Sugimori.

Deck boxes: Each deck box can hold a fully sleeved deck with space for things like extra sleeves or cards. Boxes could be secured shut with a self-locking cover and were also packaged with an organizational divider bearing the same design.

Binders: A trio of binder styles were available. Four-pocket portfolios could hold up to 80 cards double-loaded; nine-pocket portfolios could hold up to 180 cards double-loaded; and 3-Ring Binders could be used to store large quantities cards using three-ring punched storage pages.

The first full expansion of the XY Series, XY, was accompanied by a pair of Theme Decks upon its official release on February 5, 2014. The Resilient Life and Destruction Rush Theme Decks feature two Kalos region Legendary Pokmon: the Life Pokmon Xerneas and the Destruction Pokmon Yveltal. Resilient Life comprised both Fairy-type and Psychic-type Pokmon, while Destruction Rush contained Darkness-type and Fighting-type Pokmon. Each deck included an exclusive Cracked Ice Holofoil print of their featured Pokmon, a sheet of damage counters and status markers, a coin, a 2-player playamt and rulesheet, a card checklist and summary sheet, a deckbox, and a code card to unlock a digital version of it in the Pokmon Trading Card Game Online.

In addition to the XY Theme Decks, six different XY Blisters made their way to store shelves for release on February 5, 2014. Single Pack Blisters included one XY booster pack, a coin, and an exclusive Cosmos Holofoil print of either Dragon Vault Salamence or Plasma Freeze Dragonite. Two Pack Blisters came with a coin, two XY booster packs, and, much like the Black & White Two Pack Blisters, featured a trio of exclusive Cosmos Holofoil variants. One included Dark Explorers Venusaur, Boundaries Crossed Charizard, and Plasma Blast Blastoise; the other included Dragon Vault Dragonite, and Dragons Exalted Garchomp and Hydreigon. The print of Blastoise erroneously lists the copyright as 2012, even though the Plasma Blast expansion was released in 2013 and the blister packs in 2014. This was corrected when the six promotional cards were printed again eight months later in the XY Knock Out Collection.

In addition to three XY booster packs and a coin, the Three Pack Blisters featured Cosmos Holofoil prints of either Dragons Exalted Gyarados or Plasma Storm Gallade. These blisters used the plastic clamshell packaging first seen on varieties for the Black & White expansion and were not initially available in North America. It was not until their inclusion on the Pokmon Center online store in August 2014 that prompted their distribution in the North American market. Variations of these blisters with the more traditional paperboard packaging were also made available at a later date.

The coins included within the first release of these blisters were mostly repackaged from Noble Victories, Next Destinies, and Dark Explorers-related merchandise. Different coins were included in waves of Single Pack Blisters that shipped with Garchomp-EX Boxes for release in April 2014. These updated blisters came with Black-backed versions of the Xerneas and Yveltal coins from the XY Theme Decks, as well as Black-backed, Gold Mirror Holofoil Pikachu coins. The Xerneas and Yveltal coins were only available in shipments to Target stores, while the Pikachu coins were more widely available. Another wave of Two Pack Blisters was also shipped with Flashfire products: blisters featuring the evolved Kanto first partner Pokmon included a Large-sized, Black-backed, Silver Cracked Ice Holofoil Deoxys coin; blisters featuring the three Dragon-type Pokmon included a Large-sized, Black-backed, Silver Cracked Ice Holofoil Genesect coin.

The XY expansion saw the release of the third installment of the Elite Trainer Box product line, and the first of the XY Series. The XY Elite Trainer Box came in two varieties: one featuring Xerneas and one featuring Yveltal. Compared to the previous iteration, these boxes added five copies of Fairy Energy to the stock of basic Energy for a total of 45 cards. Each box also contained eight XY booster packs, 65 themed card sleeves, two acrylic Special Condition markers, six damage counter dice, one large die for coin flips, four dividers, and an XY Player's Guide that provided an overview of the XY expansion. The boxes could also be used for storage.

Also released with the XY expansion on February 5, 2014 were the expansion's 9-Pocket and 4-Pocket Portfolios, the second pair released for the XY Series. Both binders feature the expansion's 5ban Graphics promotional artwork of Xerneas and Yveltal; however, the 4-Pocket Portfolio features the booster pack versions while the 9-Pocket Portfolio features the artworks from the XY Theme Decks. Each binder has 10 pages, allowing for the storage of 180 cards in the 9-Pocket and 80 cards in the 4-Pocket.

A second set of pin blisters was released on February 19, 2014. Each of the XY Collector Pin Three Pack Blisters included an enamel collector's pin featuring either Xerneas or Yveltal plus three booster packs from the XY expansion.

A pair of Figure Collections focusing on the Legendary Kalos Pokmon Xerneas and Yveltal was also released on February 19, 2014. The Xerneas Figure Collection included a collectible figure of the Life Pokmon, as well as an alternate-art Xerneas XY Black Star Promotional card and a selection of four booster packs (typically three from XY and one from Legendary Treasures). The equivalent Xerneas Jumbo Collection was made available outside North America.

Available alongside the Xerneas Figure Collection on February 19, 2014 was the Yveltal Figure Collection. This product featured the Legendary Destruction Pokmon Yveltal as both an alternate art XY Black Star Promotional card and a collectible figure. Each collection also included three XY booster packs and one Legendary Treasures booster pack.

During the XY Series, collectible figures were not included in products made for sale outside North America, resulting in equivalent lines containing different items. Instead of the Xerneas Figure Collection, the Xerneas Jumbo Collection was made available in other regions overseen by The Pokmon Company International from February 19, 2014. Each of these collections included a copy of the same alternate-art Xerneas XY Black Star Promo card and same quantity of XY booster packs but came with an oversized version of the Xerneas card instead of the figure.

Complimenting the Xerneas Jumbo Collection on February 19, 2014 in Western regions outside North America was the Yveltal Jumbo Collection. This promotional box featured the Destruction Pokmon Yveltal as both a regular-sized and a Jumbo-sized XY Black Star Promo card. Each collection also included three XY booster packs.

In the month following the release of the XY expansion, specifically on March 12, 2014, a pair of Legends of Kalos Tins was released. Featuring two members of the Kalos region's aura trio, these tins included alternate-art reprints of the Xerneas-EX and Yveltal-EX cards from the XY expansion. Also included in each tin were four booster packs as well as a code card for unlocking the promos in the Pokmon Trading Card Game Online.

Trainer Kits were first conceived in the EX Series as a way to introduce prospective players to the Pokmon Trading Card Game. The XY Trainer Kit was the first iteration of the XY Series and was released on March 12, 2014. Each kit was packaged with two pre-constructed Half Decks featuring Sylveon and Noivern, with the Sylveon Half Deck focusing on Fairy-type Pokmon and the Noivern Half Deck focusing on Darkness and Psychic-types. None of the cards have rarity symbols and each feature a collection number and set symbol exclusive to the kit. The cards are numbered in such a way to allow them to be played in the kit's example battle; cards could also be easily reset if the decks were accidentally shuffled prior to conducting an example battle.
