Hello everyone,

There has been some silence on this forum for some time, but things have moved in the background.

On the 19th of October I had a great meeting with officials from the federal government (DEC), provincial government (MESI) and the City of Montreal / Economic Development. The topic was funding, obviously. The goal was to coordinate their understanding about the project, and to understand where they can fit it into their budgetary envelops, and most importantly how to talk about it to their peers. The meeting was very collaborative, relaxed and went on for 3 hours and 30 minutes. The news is the same, they love the project and we will continue to exchange to clarify some important points.

To announce the Verdun project, Sensorica and Ouishare have partnered for www.eco2fest.com

This event starts on the 5th of November and ends on the 23rd. It brings together actors of the collaborative economy with governmental officials, the private sector and academia. The metaphor is a fish boll, containing collaborative entrepreneurs, going through their day, working on their collaborative enterprises. Around, we organize panels, workshops and round tables, with influencers from the traditional world. We discuss public policy, governance, finance, insurance, etc. The goal is to recognize and to legitimize the collaborative economy. For the public, people can also bring their projects to work alongside collaborative entrepreneurs to experience the collaborative economy.

eco2FEST is the coming out of the collaborative economy after a decade of underground development. It sets the tone for the Verdun project and plants the seed in the South-West.

You're all invited to visit and to contribute to this participatory and collaborative event!

Once there, we can renew our conversations about the Verdun project.

NOTE: The programming will be online tomorrow.
