While I have asked to see the "file" on several occasions, I have yet to see it. I am not looking for anything in particular. I'm just tired of feeling like the board is being intentionally kept in the dark as it relates to official board business. As I'm sure you recall, I personally had (and still have) an issue with how this entire matter of the flood was handled. And when you said to our visitor from Grand Lodge and our Inspector during an official board meeting regarding the installation of the carpet: "for some reason the money got spent before he got paid. He bid the thing at $3200, we got the insurance  money for it...", that was news to me. I need to review the actual insurance payment break-down so that I am not surprised again with other such information blind-siding me and the board. During the entire discussion leading up to the carpet installation, the board was continually lead to believe the installation was being done as a "thank you for your business" type of deal by the contractor, which is why several members, including myself, were surprised when we received a bill made our to your company for the installation of carpet at the Lodge. 

It truly disappoints me to see this deep-rooted level of incompetence in management that continues to drive our beloved building into the ground. While I have made my feelings about this matter perfectly clear during several past board meetings, I will reiterate it here in writing for any new member of the board who is not aware of how I feel: incompetent management is what lead us to this point and no one is to blame but the board (particularly the leadership of the board). I take full responsibility for anything that happens under my watch. I therefore need to know what's going on to be able to make informed decisions. And when asked simple questions regarding a major event (the flood), I am simply unable to answer because I do not have access to the information that's continuously being promised to me. This is simply unacceptable!

Worshipful I have a lot of experience with insurance companies. If you can give me our policy number I will get all the information that you need without any excuses or delays.

Ill see what I can dig up. Btw there was a note on the door from SoCal gas. They disconnected service and we're a little more than $550 to be reconnected including deposit.
