Hi y'all,

I want to take a survey.  The roller derby folks are looking to sublet their place for a couple nights a week and I want to get a sense of what you all think of the idea.  There are still a few questions that need to be answered:

  • Is the surface going to work?  Its a skate court so it might now have enough traction but they said i could come by and check it out
  • Is their board going to sign off on it
    • we will need to sign a waiver or something
    • damage to the court surface could be an issue, etc etc
What I need to know from all y'all is:
  • are you intrested?
  • how many times per week would you want access?
    • 1,2,3?
  • How much are you willing to pay per night?
    • $5, $10, $20
  • Would you be willing to pay dues per month to pay for the court or would you only pay on a per night basis?
If this worked out it could be pretty incredible.  The lighting in there is perfect.  We would have minimal work to set it up for polo.  We would have a guaranteed place to play which means easier time getting new folks.  Way more friendly for spectators to come by and drink beers (we don't have to worry about drinking in a school parking lot).  We can play as late as we want.  NYC, Boston, and Burlington would probably visit during the winter because it would be far and away the cheapest indoor place.  This way Colby can practice enough to crush all the gals at ladies army in TO this year.  Aight let me know what y'all are thinking.

hell YES definitely more than interested. i'd say 2 nights a week, willing to pay $10 per night, or monthly dues (at 10/night). definitely willing to sign a waiver. it would be incredible if this worked out.

Very interested. I would be in for two nights a week. I would be willing to pay less than 30$ a month.

actually yeah- i'd be willing to throw in $10 or less per night, or $40 or less per month.

hop damn, the 5-10 per session sound reasonable, could be persuaded to do a monthly thing payment.  are we thinking year round or only during the winter?  I'd be in for 1 night a week and sometimes 2.

where is the space located?  I wonder about the floor material and how it would fair against skidding tires and mallets hitting it.  looks like they have a modular floor system - http://www.icecourt.com/skate_floor.html, trying to figure out what material the floor is made out of.

I think it's different.  It's called skate court and may be less grippy.  I'm going to see if I can test it tonight for traction but durability is a whole other thing.  What happens when a pedal strikes? Etc etc

I'm into that sort of thing.  It would be awesome to have somewhere to play during tge winter/ with real boards.  I'd be down to drop 40 ish a month for 1 or 2 nights per week.  Then we could get Great Wall ALL THE TIME.  I don't think you understand the pissibilities.
