3D CAD model of geared hub motor just published on Nohassel group

There is now a fully reverse engineered 3D CAD model of a Chinese
geared bicycle hub motor. It is my original files with complete
history tree in Solid Edge ST2 file format available for download in
the files area.

This model is useful for calculating the properties of the Chinese
motor, and evaluating possible improvements of the design. The model
is done as accurately as posssible with manual measurements with
definition of the materials etc. but the files are not accurate enough
for manufacturing. The files are editable and contains full history
and can easily be modified to implement modifications like bigger
bearings, seals for oil filling, alternative gears etc. The model is
licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported
License.

Remember to download both the minimotor_nohassel_ver2.zip and the
stator winding.zip to get the complete model. I may port it to stl,
STEP, ACIS or Parasolid if someone requests it.
