Subject: Baltimore City Health Commissioner Announces Code Blue Health Alert In Effect For Saturday, Sunday
BALTIMORE, MD (February 10, 2012) — Because anticipated low temperatures are a potential danger to health, Baltimore City Health Commissioner Dr. Oxiris Barbot has ordered a Code Blue cold weather alert for Saturday, Feb. 11, and Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012. As a result of the Code Blue declaration, emergency shelters will keep extended hours. Emergency workers will conduct outreach for vulnerable residents.
