PTSA Events

PTSA Dance

Friday October 10th, 2:30-4:30.   Membership forms are available in the main office. And any student with five or more memberships by Friday, October 3 will be entered into a drawing for a $25 Target gift card! If you need  more information or a membership form, feel free to contact Kim Williams, Membership Chairperson, at 326-9483, or at jbkr...@bellsouth.net.

 Art Program “Reflections”

Your child will be learning at school about a PTA art program called “Reflections.”  You may be familiar with it from elementary school.  It provides students an opportunity to submit an original creative piece in a competition.  Judging occurs first at Noe and then students work may progress to a regional and state level for judging.  The creative piece may be literature, musical composition, dance, visual arts, photography or film/video production.   More details will be provided to students this week.  You may contact Joe Higdon,  joe.H...@insightbb.com,  with questions.

Fall Festival

The PTSA is gearing up for this year’s Fall Festival which will be held from 5:30-8:30 on Nov. 21, 2008.  This is always a huge event at Noe—we serve a meal, hold a silent auction, and each team sponsors a booth with a game, activity, or snack.  We are in the planning stages right now, and one of our biggest jobs is putting together the silent auction.  If you can help us at all in soliciting donated items for the silent auction, we would greatly appreciate it.  If you are a business owner or know of a business that may be interested in donating, please print out the solicitation letter attached to the newsletter (FF Letter 2008) and give it to them.  The Noe PTSA is a 501( c )3 non-profit organization, so all donations are full tax-deductible charitable contributions and can be reported as such for tax purposes.  The Fall Festival Committee is more than happy to pick up any donations…our phone numbers and e-mail addresses are on the letter.  Thanks, as always, for your generous support of our students!  If you would like to volunteer to assist with the festival, please contact Stephanie Brown at stephan...@insightbb.com

Volunteer Opportunities

The Inflatable Reward has been rescheduled to Thursday 9/25.  We are in need of volunteers to work in various shifts:  8 – 10 and 9:30 – 11:30 and 11:30 – 1:30. Ideally we need 4 – 5 per shift.  Anyone able to volunteer please contact Robynn Landherr @ 495-6330 or  rrlan...@yahoo.com.

Fall Festival, November 21st,  if you would like to volunteer to assist with the festival, please contact Stephanie Brown at stephan...@insightbb.com

Opportunities for Individual Fundraising

Campbell’s Labels for Education:  (See attached sheets aboveBIG BONUS OFFER  Check Sunday 10/12 for an opportunity to earn Bonus points for Noe!  A special Bonus sheet will be included with the newspaper and it just needs to be turned in by Oct. 29th the latest and Noe can receive up to 200 Bonus Points.  Give it a try and see.

For those of you who patronize Kroger, Campbells has designed a e-Labels for Education that will electronically collect Campbell's Labels for Education points using your Kroger Card.  But you have to sign up to do this.  All you have to do is go to Kroger.com and set up your account with your Kroger Plus Card Number, chose Noe as your school to receive the points and you are on your way to saving every time you shop.  Try it out and see how easy it can be.

Any questions please contact Cindy Martin at cin...@aol.com.  Thanks for being such great parents and supporters to Noe.  Savings saves us!!!

Box tops will be due by October 29th for our first big savings this year.  Send your cut  box tops to school with your child's name and team and a special treat will be sent home.  Our goal this year is $1,500.  WE were so close last year, so maybe this will be our YEAR!!

Nestle is also offering funds to schools with K-8 students.  The funds are to be used for playground equipment or fieldtrips.   Noe Middle is signed up.  We earn points from the purchase of Nestle Water Bottles.   Save the labels and send in.  More information is included in the attachment above, Go Play Rewards.

And don’t forget the Tyson A+ tags, these are primarily on prepared foods.

Kroger Gift cards are available for purchase by sending in $5 to the Main Office.  The Kroger card will be sent home via your child unless you send a self addressed stamped envelope.  Use the initial $5 on the card and then you can reload it at the check out lane or at the Customer Service desk.  Save Money for Noe as you shop, pump gas or purchase prescriptions  as 4% of the gross receipts each month go back to Noe for updating our Technology at Noe.  Getting more students involved with computers, keeps us on top!!

www.goodsearch.com  - this is a search engine much like Google.  You set up an account and designate Noe Middle School to receive funds from each search.   The site then donates a couple of cents for each search done.  (The site does also monitor to ensure legitimate searches are occurring.)

Office Depot – when you make a purchase, they will designate a portion of the sale to Noe Middle School.  When checking out, request Noe Middle School.  The cashier will have a list of barcodes for all of the schools.

www.upromise.com – You set up an account and this site contributes funds as you direct to your child’s education fund or your child’s school.  The site receives funds from products you purchase or businesses you frequent.  Noe is a registered recipient.  You may register your Kroger card, various other stores cards, and credit cards as well to receive Upromise funds.
