Welcome back!  Hope your long weekend was fun and productive…and you were able to sell lots of candy!   Remember, THURSDAY, September 6 is the last day to return unsold candy for credit – after that day, you are responsible for paying for whatever candy your child has taken home.  All candy money is due on September 11, and a celebratory event is planned for all students who’ve participated on Friday, September 21.

PAS (Predictive Assessment Series) testing begins this week.  Nearly every student at Noe will take a reading and math test on computer, and teachers will use the results to guide instruction for the first semester.  You’ll receive results in the mail later this year.  8th graders begin testing this week, and 7th and 6th will follow through September 21.

Upcoming important dates:

6th grade Open House/Transition Night – September 11, 6:30 PM

7th/8th grade Open House/Transition Night – September 20, 6:30 PM

SBDM Elections will be held at both of these events – if you wanted to run but haven’t turned anything in yet, contact Cindy Martin at cin...@aol.com NOW!

PTSA dance for paid members will be held on September 28 from 2:30-4:30 – have you joined yet?

I’m trying something new this week.  Attached to this memo is a weekly activities calendar provided to me by the Noe Administration.  It’s much easier for me to send it “as is” than to type it out each week… but it won’t work if you can’t read it!  If you’re unable to open the activities calendar, please let me know at deba...@insightbb.com – if I don’t hear from you, I’ll continue to send it as an attachment each week.

Have a great start to September – let’s hope the temperatures start feeling a bit more autumn-like soon!
