Dear Parents,
I know you only expect to see these notes on Mondays, but I’m taking the liberty of using my ‘bully pulpit’ to ask you for help with my other Noe volunteer job, the Fall Festival. Almost all of us will be attending conferences next Monday, and I’m hoping you can bring along an item when you come that can be included in a silent auction theme basket. Below is a note explaining the types of items we’re looking for – there will be laundry baskets in the front office as well as the team areas for you to bring your contributions. If your conference isn’t on Monday, baskets will be in the office all week, or contact me to bring in your items at another time. Thanks in advance for your generosity!

Fall Festival Silent Auction
Won't you please contribute a new item or two so that we can create Theme Baskets to auction at our annual Fall Festival? Your donation will be very much appreciated and can be as simple or extravagant as you wish. If you prefer to assemble your own creation (any theme you like) that would be terrific as well! Collection bins will be in the Main Office beginning the week of October 8th. On Conference Day, Monday, October 8, there will also be collection bins in the individual team areas for your convenience.
Can’t think of what to bring? Here are some ideas:
Baking: Holiday baking supplies, baking mixes, frosting, sprinkles, baking cups, extracts, nuts, chocolate, bake ware, utensils, …
Sports: Athletic gear (clothing, shin guards, helmets, etc.), balls, memorabilia (like baseball cards or signed programs), sport-themed video games, golf clubs, tickets to local sporting events, …
Arts & Crafts: items for both older and younger children such as: stickers, crayons, colored pencils, markers, clay, paints & brushes, pastels, sketch pads, …
Teen Fun: cool items for teenage girls & boys (you have a student at Noe so you already know what stuff teens like!) such as: “hip” personal care products, jewelry, gift cards for stores or malls, books, journals, batteries, computer games, music CDs, DVDs, gift certificates for activities such as bowling, roller skating, ice skating, laser tag, movie theaters, …
Movie Night: VHS and DVD movies, gift cards for movie rentals (Blockbuster etc.), pizza parlors (Papa John's etc.), microwave & regular popcorn, candy, soda, pillow, throw blanket, movie theater gift cards, …
Other theme ideas: Winter holidays, coffee lover, beauty/glamour… use your imagination!
Donations of containers (baskets, tubs, etc.) for displaying items are also welcome!
