Volunteers are Needed!

 

Special Message from Mr. John Gribbins:

  

As many of you know, our 7th graders will be participating in the Junior Achievement Finance Park program over the next two weeks (7 Challengers-Jan. 23; 7 Navigators- Jan. 25; 7 Achievers-Jan. 30; and 7 Seekers-Feb. 1).  The Junior Achievement program is a really neat program where students learn budgeting dilemmas and fiscal responsibility.  (In short, they get the pleasure of paying the bills for the day!)  However, in order for us to participate, we still need several more volunteers that can commit to an 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. schedule on any of the four days listed.  If anyone is interested (you don't have to be a 7th grade parent to volunteer) and would like to help, please contact John Gribbins in the Youth Services Center at 485-8055, or Gretchen Williams in the Main Office at 485-8307.  Thanks!

PS I volunteered for this program last year and it was fun.  The kids really get into it and the time flies!  Please seriously consider if you can "swing it" it's so worthwhile for the kids!  Marian
