A survery about the factors that are important in our search for a new Superintendent has been posted on Survey Monkey and we encourage all interested stakeholders to participate in the survey. You can find the survey at
The questions are as follows:
1. What are the greatest assets of the Greater Louisville Community? (This information is used to help us recruit quality candidates.)
2. What are the strengths/assets of the Jefferson County Public School District?(This information is used to help us recruit quality candidates.)
3. What characteristics are most important in the next superintendent of the Jefferson County Public Schools?(This information is used as we screen potential candidates.)
4. What are the most significant district, community or state issues the selected person will face and need to deal with in order to be effective immediately? (This information is shared with the final candidates.)

It is vitally important that all parent (family) voices are heard. There were only 8 in attendance at the lunch forum on Monday, and ONE parent at the lunch forum on Tuesday. On Monday evening there were 16 members from the community. Last night there were 39 members from the community in attendance. I know that the timing and location of these events may not have been ideal, but the public perception is that parents don't care about such a crucial decision.
Thank you for taking the time to be involved in this important decision that will affect all our children and their futures!!!
