The deadline is approaching for personalizations and saving
$4 off the yearbook price. For those in the 8th grade this is YOUR book

extremely difficult to pick our top six covers and we would like to thank
everyone who submitted a entry for our cover. We are sure next year will
be just as difficult with the talent we have at Noe. Our other top covers
winners will also receive one line of personaliation for their cover.

online at jostensyearbook.com for free, and leave the checkbook at home.

Yearbook cost is presently $22 until Jan. 5, 2008 No personalizations

New Volunteer Opportunities
We have some new volunteer opportunities for parents who want to become involved (or more involved) with their child's school. Please email Maria Sorolis at soro...@insightbb.com if you can help fill any of these needs.
· Teachers need help making copies. These are scheduled through our librarians. This can be arranged according to your schedule. If you work, you can help in the morning from 7:40 am on. If you are interested please include information about your availability. (Days of the week and times)
· Everyone Reads volunteers are needed. Volunteers meet and read with/mentor students for 30 minutes once a week.
· Team leaders need to form relationships with parents who are available to help with paperwork related to things like fields trips, fundraising and other inventive programs. If this sounds interesting to you please also identify whether you are interested in working with a particular team.

Old News Worth Repeating:
JCPS School Calendar has been revised
The school board voted to modify the school calendar to make up days missed due to the September windstorm. The first day will be made up on January 5th which was previously scheduled as a day off for students. Following January 5th, Students will be out of school on January 19th for Martin Luther Kings birthday and then not again until Spring Break starting Monday March 30th. Please check out the revised calendar on the JCPS website.

JCPS New Assignment Plan for High Schools and Middle Schools
A plan was unveiled regarding new student assignments for High Schools and Middle Schools for the 2010-2011 school year. The plan will be presented to the board tomorrow evening. Below is the news as covered by the Courier Journal in today’s paper.

Noe Middle School Book Drive
During the holiday season, we like to share with others. At Noe, we are planning to share the gift of reading. Please bring in any new or gently used books to Mrs. Jeffers (7 Monarchs), Mrs. Hart (7 Challengers), or the school office, by Friday, December 19th. The books will be given to participants of the Family Reading Nights on January 29 and April 16. We're looking for books for all ages, from beginning readers to chapter books, to preschool to middle school.

Wed., Dec. 17: 2:30-3:30 Holiday Party
Wed., Jan. 7: 2:30 to 4:30 (competition practice)
Wed., Jan. 14: 2:30 to 4:30
This week on Thursday and next week on Thursday we do have meets that we are attending (Dec. 4th is at Farnsley and Dec. 11th is at JCTMS. Both should be from about 3:00 pm until 4:30-5:00pm.)

Basketball Game Ticket Sales

Coke Rewards “no pain, all gain”
Noe PTSA has a new "no pain, all gain" fundraiser. If you are familiar with Coke Rewards, Noe Middle School is now a registered school at that site. If you collect Coke Rewards points, all you do is select the "Rewards and Sweepstakes" tab, scroll to the bottom of the window that opens and click the "button" that says school. Enter Noe's ZIP code (40208) search by State and City. Then you can donate your points to benefit our school. Thanks for all your help!
Irrigation Expert Needed!
In order to provide a safer and better field for our field hockey & soccer teams and other activities, irrigation is required. We have a little money & lots of volunteers… we need a professional to help with design, the equipment purchase and to oversee the installation. Call Dean Walker at 767-6162.
