Schools to Watch
Schools to Watch is a national program for middle level schools directed by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform. Through this program schools are identified that reflect the vision of the National Forum for high-performing middle level schools. The vision sets criteria for academic excellence, developmental responsiveness, social equity and organizational structures and processes.
In making application, the Noe staff have reviewed criteria listed above, rated ourselves, and cited specific evidence. We submitted our application in October and were notified that we "passed" the paper screening and will receive a site visit. That visit will be on January 18-19, 2007. Nine people will be with us those two days interviewing staff, students, and parents; observing classrooms; and reviewing our documentation.
We are hopeful that we will be designated a Schools to Watch. It is quite an honor and achievement.
Dr. Kathy Sayre
Principal
Noe Middle School
Thank You Dr Sayre. I'm sure I speak for many when I say that we are very proud to be a part of Noe Middle School and we sincerely hope that Noe receives this designation. It would be a terrific "feather in our cap!"
