Hi,

Melbnodejs meetup will expire on 19 Jan.

The meetup is on pause for several month, and there is 100+ passive members.

Question for Melbourne-based noders:
Do we need meetup focused on local node.js community ? There is already MelbJS for all the JS and this list for node.js (not just Melb).
Anyone volunteer to pay organiser duties? Is there enough interest to make next meetup?
If the answer is NO I'll probably delete it after 19th.

Cheers,
Andrey.

Hi Andrey,

My 2 cents is to let it expire but it might be simple enough to just renew it.

Argument for nixing it - the MelbJS meetup is very strong and we could probably start doing Node presentations there rather than fragment things. Also, for node specific stuff we have active members sitting in #polyhack in freenode, following us on twitter (https://twitter.com/NodeJSAU), or on the website (http://nodejsau.jit.su/).

If the cost isn't too much, though, we could just keep it going. It might come in handy oneday and we've already started it. Maybe chat on IRC?

Cheers,
Nick
