Hi guys,
We're having our first Polyhack meetup this Thursday night at Inspire9.
Again, we are meeting as a hack group, with our primary focus on sitting before laptops and working on stuff, together or in isolation. The deal is that you're willing to chat about what you're up to or interested in, and share ideas.
As it will also be our first meeting we'll spend a bit of time chatting about what we want from the group and how to run it. Please bring along your ideas.
Conrad Pankoff (deoxxa) will also be helping run the group, so any questions make a comment here, or pop onto #polyhack on freenode and ask away.
We'll also have two brief presentations
* Mark Wolfe will be presenting 'Messaging, everything old is new again'.
* I'll be presenting about the Node stack I've been using at Moneytribe, particularly to show tools that map to Rails analogues (for e.g., grunt.js to Rake, Sequelize to ActiveRecord, Jade to HAML etc.) in a typical MVC stack.
So that will happen. Then we'll go to the pub (The Corner Hotel) at 8 pm. Yay.
Cheers,
Nicholas
