Wuaki.tv is hiring. We are looking for JS Developers for our frontend team.

Founded in 2009, Wuaki.tv is headquartered in Barcelona and currently operates in Spain and the UK. 
The company offers premium movie content over the Internet directly to Smart TVs and devices. Wuaki.tv has content distribution agreements with Hollywood majors as well as local studios, and partnership deals with leading TV, tablet and gaming console manufacturers, to incorporate our technology into their devices. In June 2012 – Rakuten, the world’s third largest e-commerce company, acquired Wuaki.tv and since then is following an aggressive EU roll out plan. Today Wuaki.tv has over 1,1 million registered users.

Responsabilities

• Implement and participate in design features for our SmartTV apps
• Review your teammates code and take responsibilities of your own
• Deliver products with top quality in a fast paced environment
• Ability to collaborate and propose new ideas
• Participate in stand-ups and be communicative with your team

Requirements

• Solid programming experience in Javascript
• Deep experience working with Backbone and Marionette
• Be able to work with Coffescript, Handlebars and SASS since day one
• Passionate about performance, scalability and modularity
• Ability to create a client-side webapp from the scratch
• Experience on unit/integration testing; we use Karma, Casper, Phantom and Jasmine
• Experience on working with version control system; we use Github on a daily basis
• Knowledge of SCRUM and Agile methodologies
• Love for code elegance and simplicity
• Capacity for documentation and technology features definition
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail, high energy and creativity
• Be organized and communicative, we use JIRA to report issues and Confluence for documentation
• Languages: Spanish and English
• Must be comfortable interacting in a culturally diverse environment

Plusses

• Smart TV development experience
• Knowledge of Node.js and/or Ruby
• Languages: German, french and/or italian
