Hi, I'm trying to install this thing for like a month without success.
I'm trying to install ursa through npm on node.js: https://github.com/Medium/ursa

I run a windows 7 OS.
I have python 2.7.3
I have Windows SDK 7.1: http://puu.sh/aTxlw/11e9deb3b7.png
I have openSSL 1.0.1 64bit

I have node.js 64 bit.

I install node-gype successfully (or so it seems): http://puu.sh/aTxsM/175846d6bb.png
I fail installing ursa: http://puu.sh/aTxxL/dff6717b61.png
I would appreciate any sort of help, if any more info is needed let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Check you "WindowsSdkDir" variable and see if contains a valid path to the SDK:

 - "C:\program files\microsoft sdks\windows\vX.XX\

If not change the following key in registry to valid path one and reboot.

 - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MicrosoftSDKs\Windows\CurrentInstallFolder

Also, try to install the package via the Visual Studio console and see what happens.

Which is the order you followed to install dependencies? Probably the environment variable got changed by the sdk or visual studio installation.

Hope it helps.

Thanks,
@wil_js

Hey sorry for the late reply I couldn't get on!
Are you speaking of those: http://puu.sh/b0Hxv/0c033e9258.png ?
I do not seem to have a variable named WindowsSdkDir.

Got the same error through VS.

I'll try reinstalling everything, do you recommend a certain order?
