Need to log errors in file and to handle exception - nodejs

Hi,

I am new to nodejs and am using express(4.10.7) framework in my project. I need to log all errors in local file and to handle exception. Currently, if any error occurs, server stopped. So, need to start again. How can we overcome this. Please guide me to solve this issue. Any predefined modules to achieve this which connects express framework.
Also, sometime timeout error occurs.
