I profiled my node application and the top result I get is ->
35221   32.7%   35.9%  syscall

I don't know what this syscall is and how is it affecting my application?
Does anyone have an idea or tell me where to look further?

Daniel.

Syscalls are OS primitives, like when you read a file or send something through network... The only practical way of changing this is getting a new kernel or another build of the same kernel... Anyway this wouldn't be a bottle neck for 99.99999% of the cases, the remaining being application requiring microseconds latency
