Hi, all.

I have found that node.js had provided a nice wrap for the v8 js engine, as well as quite a lot of libraries.

We are a new company making robots, and now looking for a powerful script engine to develop the high-level logic.

After browsing the official website, and the node.cc source file, I cannot find any public licensing information. What I have got is:
Copyright 2009 Ryan Dahl

So, what should I do, if I want to integrate it to my project?

Here's the license file: https://github.com/ry/node/blob/master/LICENSE

So the short answer is yes, absolutely. Just be sure to maintain the copyright notice and you're good.

Hello, I am new to the group and to node.js. I am thinking of implementing an idea with requires some e-commerce. I found https://github.com/jamescarr/paynode but I don't know enough yet about node.js to understand if that's a good route. Any light shed on node+e-commerce is appreciated.

Thanks,
Sam

Hi Sam,

I think for now only paynode and braintree are the modules to use to
accept payments, with paynode actually able to use braintree's API for
braintree. The vision for paynode is to eventually be a wraper for
several payment gateways.

Thanks,
James

I am also building an e-commerce system using node and I am (going to be) using paynode, it is the only thing I found when I started scoping the project. At least there will be a couple of us :)

Cheers

Paul
