Adding and Deleting items with node and postgreSQL

I'm working on a project for a course and am having trouble figuring out how to let the user add or delete folders or notes from my app.

Here is my code and the user side app.

The client side is: https://noteful2.now.sh/

The server side code is: https://github.com/beccasiegal/noteful-server.git

If anyone would be willing to guide me in how to get the add and delete buttons to actually work, that would be greatly appreciated.
