nodejs USB data reader

Hi,

I am new to NodeJs, I have a MagTek card swipe this will push data via USB Hid interface and I have phidgets to get realtime data. I am looking at a way to read all these datas with nodejs. googled on this subject seems like it is possible. but I have no idea how to do that. I have tried filesystem.createReadStream but I haven't able to find the device stream. any help on this to get usb reader with node js. Thanks in advance for helping.

Thanks for your response buddy, the device is connected to usb hub. do you think this serialport module will work for that?

Well, USB is Universal *Serial* Bus. Last time I asked Chris, he said
it (node-serialport) works fine for USB. Just be aware that USB is a
lot more complicated than vanilla serial. You may want a higher-level
library like libusb bindings depending on the device to interface
with.
