Windows Installer would not open when I try to install NODE.JS

Windows Installer would not open when I try to install NODE.JS, but it opens and let me run as normal for other MSI extensions that are not Node.js, I tried downloading and installing use both Node.JS msi and exe files and still no luck, they will not open window installer. I'm using Vista. Does anyone have the same issue? and any way I can get this sorted?
