I am confused on why I keep generating this error when I try to call data into the view file.

That's too much code for me to read through and understand, and it also looks like you include other files whose contents you didn't show us. The error message doesn't give any insight into *where* the syntax error is. You should try to narrow down the problem. Find a minimal block of standalone code that reproduces the problem. Then, if you still need help figuring out why the error occurs, post that block of code, such that we can run the code on our own systems to observe the problem.
