webservice and website together

Hi

Question from a nodeJS newbie.

How can I configure routing or use another solution to expose a model (business logic) as webservice  and use for website in one project. Does it make sense? Or use one directory with model code and two separate projects for webservice and website? I would like to not duplicate instances for the code of a model.
