NodeJS module bug?

I've got redirected from github, so here we go, we installed python 2.6, and now we get this error when running npm commands like 'npm install steam': http://i.imgur.com/4D0PanB.jpg

Including the full error message would be useful (also copied as text makes it easier to search)

What you're seeing is the derived error output from npm, but above that is the failing output from node-gyp doing the build.

As far as I know, however, you need python 2.7, not 2.6.
