hi everyone,
I've been hacking on a alternate npm client, npmd.
the "D" is for "Distributed".
It replicates the metadata (package.json & readme) locally,
so it can resolve dependency trees without making expensive round
trips to the npm registry.
This makes installs much faster, especially when latency is bad...
it's still very fresh, and there are many npm features that are not supported,
but please check it out and let me know any problems!
