I think there are a few of us here in Wellington, a couple more up in
Auckland and the odd person elsewhere (now including yourself). :)

I must say I'm loving it. While I would be the first to admit that npm is not quite as mature as dpkg/yum yet, it is a vast improvement over the PEAR/PECL and pip/easy_install mess.
I think npm and dpkg/yum are solving different problems (or the same
problem in different ways - it's a sensitive issue to some). :) But
yeah, you're right, it's still newish and still learning but I think
is is mature in what it is doing. In fact, it really appeals to the
way I think about development these days - not quite on my wavelength
with deployments but getting there.

Yeah, let us know if you'll be in Welly ever, and there are definitely
some people in Auckland who might like to meet up. Not sure if there
are any more in Queenstown though!
Cheers,
Andy
