Another REMOTE_DISPATCH question

It appears the group argument to the REMOTE_DISPATCH’s preprocess
function is a list of user IDs. Am correct that for all members of the
group this list will be the same, in the sense that all the user IDs
therein will be in the same order? And thus that, the IDs being
unique, we can just use the first user ID as a proxy for a group ID?
