Create new schema(database) in existing database instance.

Hello,

We have a database instance with one database in it.  We'd like to create a new schema/database inside this instance.  However our user hasn't got enough privileges and it is impossible to login via the root credentials from our dev box. 

Any ideas of how we can create a new database/schema inside an existing database instance?
