Cologne is not very large and has good public transport. There's a
number of hostels in town and almost every one should be within a
reasonable vicinity of the venue.

Searching for "hostel Cologne" gets me the results I listed below on
google, all these places are within about half an hour of the venue
and reasonably located.

Since I live in Cologne, I hardly ever sleep at hostels, so I can't
vouch for the quality of any of them.

Cheers,
-tim

This thread would probably be a good place to discuss where people
actually are booking rooms,
in case someone wants to stay in the same place as other nodecamp
visitors.

Or in case they have a couch they're willing to let someone crash
on...

Hi,

I know some people will sleep at this Youth Hostel: http://www.jugendherberge.de/en/hostels/search/portrait/jh.jsp?IDJH=450

I think I'll do the same, it's cheap and close to the venue after all.

A nice 10-15 minute walk from the venue. close to food and beer
sources. good choice. (disclaimer: i've never seen the hostel itself)

> Station - Hostel For Backpackers -

This one is close to the Central Station. One stop from Deutz.
Acceptable distance.

This one is really close to a tram station that takes you close to the
venue. close to the rather unappealing party clubs of cologne.

> Weltempfanger Backpacker Hostel Cologne -
> www.koeln-hostel.de - Venloer Straße 196, Cologne - 0221 99579957

This one is quite nice, but you'd have to walk a bit, take a train to
deutz and walk some more. Or about 25 minutes by tram, without much
walking. Still a good choice. Better food and beer close by.

A bit farther than HOSTEL KÖLN. I'd pick one of the others over it.

> A&O Hotel und Hostel Köln Neumarkt -
> www.aohostels.com - Mauritiuswall 66, Cologne - 0221 46706-4700

Same here.

> Black Sheep Hostel, Cologne -

Whatevers.
