to NodeBots Day 7/27
Seattle CoderDojo is going to do our second annual Robotics Day for kids on Nodebots day. Right now I'm working on a project to voice control a robot using Alexa and node.

We will have 4 classrooms, each containing 6 tables, each with 6 seats. The idea is to have 4-5 kids at each table (max of 25 kids) with parents involved. The kids will rotate from one classroom to another each hour with 10 minute breaks for rotation and reset plus an hour in the middle for lunch.

Last year, our set-up was to have one "kit" per table and the kids at each table shared (because 25 robots or 25 Intel Edisons and starter kits was too expensive).

We *can* open the wall between two classrooms creating two project spaces for 50 kids at a time, with a longer 1.5-2 hour projects with the lunch breaks in between.

We'll need 3-4 volunteers per 25 kids + 1 room leader who is the one who will come up with and teach the project.

If:
  • your company can sponsor with cash or equipment
  • your company/co-workers would like to volunteer as a group to run a room
  • you alone would like to just come on down and volunteer to help teach
