How to receive data on TCP/IP with Node-red

I being on small problem about my Node-red Project
actually i want to receive data from outer sensor via TCP/IP Node-red and display it on Node-red broswer ( ui-gauge, ui-chart,... anything like that). 
So i appreciate any idea ^^

It would be helpful if you explained things in a lot more detail. Especially things like:

  1. Do you need to node-red to connect to the remote server, or is it connecting to node-red
  2. What is the format of the messages being sent
  3. What have you already tried
