I have tried to figure out how to interface with a rotary encoder via node red but have been unsuccessful.  I have the johnny five libraries installed along with firmata.  I scoured the net for example code but did not find anyone using a simple pushbutton rotary encoder (sold at adafruit).

Anyone know of any examples?  Thanks!

Looking at this example
it would seem to be 2 or 3 digital inputs ?
so you could just use the arduino input nodes - no need for johnny five.
Or you could use johnny five - as per button inputs - you would have to count the clicks yourself either way.
.... I think....
