I have several projects and would like to group and re-order the flow tabs. Any way to accomplish this?

Thanks!

-Cory

Sorry - Currently that is not possible (in any easy way) , but is on the list for improvements.

Bummer, I am a pretty heavy user and my workspace is getting out of control (again) :P
I've literally had to copy and paste flows from one tab to the other to group them.

Thanks for reaching out either way.

You can always use different workspaces for different projects by starting node-red with a filename parameter.
One trick I use is to run up one project in the editor - then close down the backend and restart with another file name - wait for the editor to reconnect, edit - removing all the bits I don't want, then hit deploy to save to the new file.

There is also the library section under the menu (which indeed also needs rework) - but allows you to save off useful functions, and flow fragments.

But yes - re-ordering tabs would be useful...

The hack is to manually edit your flows file so the tab nodes appear in the order you want them to appear in the workspace. (And restart Node-RED to pick up the change)

Looking forward to being able to reorder tabs from the admin UI, will be really nice to have at some point.

This sort of thing ought to be scriptable using jq (https://stedolan.github.io/jq) maybe?
