Hi,

I'm working actually on a way to use Node-RED to interact with a torrent search, as put in this PR.
I'm planning to add support to transmission using the RPC protocol. I found already this lib for node js: node-transmission

I plan to create firstly 2 nodes for transmission:
  • Out node that take the payload containing the url of the torrent and put it on download. The payload can contain the location where the torrent need to be downloaded.
  • In-Out node that would get an inject to out put the list of torrent. I can add a config to only output active torrents.
Later if wanted I can add some other of the feature of transmission-rpc.

Together these 2 node will be able to easily search for torrent and put them on download.

Does that seems a good idea to you ?

ps: as soon as I have access to a printer and a scanner I'll send the CLA.

An update.

I changed the Pull Request for the torrent search, because I decided to create my own library (as a fork of another) for the Kickass Search :

For the transmission node, I can now add easily new torrent to be download.
I'm now into the creation of a second node, a control node, to be able to start, stop a torrent.
And a 3rd node to get all the torrent depending of their status.

I want to know in which category you would see them ?
For now, I put them in Advanced.

Also for the folder hierarchy, I put it into "social" because I couldn't really find a "section" for this feature, any ideas ? Do I create a Torrent section ?
