node-red NPM module install help

Hi guys,

Im interested in trying out a node from NPM in node-red but I am not sure how it installs. specifically this one as I am interested in the node the author has provided:

https://github.com/quinnmcphail/tookit-connect

I cant get it to install myself through the cmd prompt. it also doesnt appear in node-red as a node that you can search and install.

Im running Node-red on windows 10 x64.

The reason you can't see it is that it isn't a node-red node.

You can see the list of those either on http://flows.nodered.org or by searching for node-red on npm.

You could either write a wrapper to create a node-red node, see https://nodered.org/docs/creating-nodes/

or use it within a function node by including it in your settings.js file (see the bottom of this page https://nodered.org/docs/writing-functions#other-modules-and-functions).

Plus, as far as I can see, it is not available on npm.
