Hi Guys,

Just trying the dropbox node to save files. Done the setup as it says in the node, got api keys etc etc.
I entered the App Folder name into the app config page. It wouldnt allow me to use a folder that already existed so I used one that didnt exist. All looks good so far. I setup the output node and it appears to be doing what its supposed to be doing, using the payload as the file contents. It even flashes up that its uploading the file.

My first observation, the folder didnt get created so I created it myself but files still dont appear in there. I'm using the dropbox website to look, incase its a syncing issue. Still nothing.

Now, when specifying the filename in the msg.filename property, do I need to include the folder name? ie PiCam/cam.jpg or just the cam.jpg as the Dropbox app is restricted to the folder. I've tried it both with the folder name and without.

I'm a bit stumped here, there isnt anything showing in the logs that it failed to upload the file.

Thanks

Andrew

OK so I found it is working. Dropbox sticks the files into a folder Apps/appname/appfolder where appname is there name of the app and appfolder is the folder name you select in the app setup page. If a folder name is added to the msg.filename property then this will be created within the appfolder.

Cheers

Andrew
