Node-Red Integration with SAP??

Simple example would be to get work order information from SAP down to the plant floor controllers.

Really, you need a SAP integration expert I'm afraid. As a large-scale enterprise suite of applications, I'd be surprised if you couldn't interface to it but it is likely to require lots of specialist knowledge.

During the daytime I'm active in SAP, and in the evening hours I'm enjoying Node-red.... SAP offers lots of communication technologies (idocs, webservices, Rfc, ...). Is there already setup in SAP that you want to call from Node-red?

E.g. when you have an RFC enabled function module, you can connect to it by using the RFC.dll. But perhaps all SAP communication in your company has to go via a PO system....

Hi,

I have connected node-red to SAP and salesforce. For SAP, I have exposed the RFC via a proxy server written in nodejs using the nodejs rfc connector (https://github.com/SAP/node-rfc). The server is hosted in heroku but could be hosted anywhere else.

Wow Johnny, this sounds cool. If you are able to share, what are you doing with NR linked to SAP? High-level, what are the use cases, which modules are you talking to in SAP ?
