Someone asked me for this it might be of interest or use to others.

The flow renders a web page with Highcharts.com javascript charting.
A web socket updates the chart in real time.

I'm actually mid way through producing a highcharts output node as I do enjoy how good highcharts look.

Will put an update on the group once its completed.

Just as an FYI there is already a chart node available incase people are itching for something to mess around with. My implementation is not the same as I feel this is somewhat a bit clunky but it does work: https://www.npmjs.org/package/node-red-contrib-googlechart

I agree. Highcharts are magic and some time ago I wrote code with PHP to do charting with them - spend ages on it but I had this whole PHP/MYSQL thing around it and eventually it went to one side - but a couple of times it has occurred to me that wouldn't it be really great to have this in Node-Red without having to have that whole web page stuff.

So this is great and I look forward as no doubt others will to a node.. hopefully with as many options as you can manage. I find the charts that handle missing values (filling in the blanks) to be great - and don't forget they have all sorts of neat gauges as well - would be great to be able to access that power from Node-Red.

Well done.

Pete.
