Flash at input update (ui_template)

In jquery it is possible to for instance highlight the background at update, then slowly fade back to the normal background colour,

Is this possible to make this for ui_template in the framework of node-red-dashboard?

I have a separate tab which shows the latest update and the latest change for each subsystem: water, heat, power, solar, where I also plan to have alerts when the subsystem stops sending data.
