My node-red server (process) died.
Is it possible to have something running in the ui, that can report when it is not connected to the server, or does not get inputs from the server.

Which ui? The editor or node-red-dashboard?
Both already show a notification if they lose their connection to the runtime.

The node-red-dashboard.
My dashboard-tablet on the wall was just frozen, no alert. when I reloaded it, I just got connection refused.
But my tablet(-browser) is not that stable, perhaps it does not cope well with server failures.
