using read preference with gridfs/gridstore

Hello,

I've been using gridfs for versioning some files and I'm wanting to extend my replicaset so that different nodes are geographically closer to some of our users. However, I can't seem to figure out how to tell it to pull from the nearest node instead of the primary, as is the default.  Doing it for a normal lookup from a collection seems pretty elementary, but I can't find any information on how to do it from GridStore.

Seems like this should be pretty easy, but I'm not seeing a way. Can anyone shed some light on the problem? A link to any documentation that I should have been able to find by now would be good too =]
